Overview of Achievements: National Engineering Laboratory for Quality Control Technology of Traditional Chinese Medicine
The National Engineering Laboratory for Quality Control of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) was established with the goal of enhancing the quality stability and standardization of TCM products. Focusing on the engineering of TCM chemical standards and reference materials, the laboratory conducts research on key technologies such as the preparation of TCM chemical reference substances, rapid identification of pharmacologically active compounds, and detoxification during processing. It also translates quality control standards into practical engineering solutions and industry standards suitable for TCM manufacturing, providing technical support to improve sector-wide standards and ensure safe, rational drug use. The laboratory started from2009Since its construction began, it has undertaken the national "973Major New Drug Creation Special Project, Traditional Chinese Medicine Industry Technology Special Project, and other projects20Remaining items, complete national standard90Item (included in the national registry80items), addressing a major set of key technical challenges that have constrained quality control technologies for traditional Chinese medicine, such as the "one-component-multi-analyte" technique.SEMACTechnology, multi-component sustained-release preparations of traditional Chinese medicine comprehensive evaluation technology, extraction liquid of patent medicinesMPSHeavy metal removal, hot-press detoxification for frost production, and gall-free aconite processing technologies have all achieved excellent results.
